Poker Ride and Tacos
Saturday, July 14th at 5pm at Long Beach Harbor. Ends at Juan Tequilas.
Have you ever ???
Been riding along on your bike just enjoying the ride and then suddenly a thought hits you. What’s the only thing that could make this ride better?
Well a taco of course,
Wait a minute !
Make that a taco and a game of poker!
If this sounds like the types of thoughts that go through your head, then we ( the GCBC ) have you covered.
On Saturday July 14th, we will have the first GCBC Poker ride.
Here’s how this will happen.
We will meet at the Long Beach Harbor in front of the pavilion , between 4:30 and 4:45 to get everyone registered. As always members registration fee is $5.00 and non-members, $10. , this includes the ride and the food.
We will leave the harbor at 5:00 sharp. We will head through the harbor and exit onto Jeff Davis ave. From there we will wind around the city of Long Beach for 7 miles making 7 stops. Five of these stops are for you to draw a card to complete your poker hand. However there are some additional stops , stop 3 will be a lemonade stop and stop 7 will be a popsicle stop.
Then , we will head on to Juan Tequilas where we have the downstairs patio reserved for our group. We will have both chicken and beef tacos as well as water, tea, soft drinks. Again, this is included in your registration fee, if you want something besides this you must order separately.
While we eat we will have the hands reviewed and the prizes will be handed out.
We have several prizes already in hand and are working on a few more. I will post all prizes in the next day or so. We also have on or two or special surprise along the way.
As always I’ll need a headcount sometimes next week to make sure of seating and food.
Note: this is a social ride and the group will stay together throughout the ride. Come join us making history as the first riders to take part in this event.
That’s gotta be some kind of record?
Come join us and have a great time.
